Clinique Three Little Soaps – Mild Dry Combination

This is a review of one of my favorite and long-standing skincare essentials! I hope you’ll like it too.

Clinique Three Little Soaps

About me:

I have combination skin, prone to oiliness in the T-zone, with redness, occasional pimples and blackheads on cheeks and chin. :/

I first bought this soap set a few years ago when I was studying abroad, and the fact that it was so small and compact was what drew me to it in the first place and since that day, I use it religiously.

Packaging:

The soap is packaged in a sturdy cardboard box in the light green Clinique color and weighs 5.2oz/150g.

It’s the first step in the 3-step skincare and the box also mentions that it is meant for the #2 skin type, which is the dry/combination skin.

Ingredients:

The three soaps are packaged in a really compact way, next to each other, and there is also the very handy soap dish that comes with it.

I really like this soap dish, it’s great quality and has a cover that prevents the soap from going soggy from humidity. It’s just the perfect size too.

This little soap can last you a very long time. I can use all three soaps for almost a whole year! Now, that’s good bang for your buck! 🙂

Scent:

Like all of Clinique products, it’s fragrance-free and hypoallergenic, so there is no obvious scent, which is great news for anyone who is sensitive to artificial colours and fragrances.

Usage:

I use this soap about 2-3 times a week when I wear makeup, since otherwise I rinse my face with just water. It doesn’t get very soapy, but does the job well and takes off all the makeup cleanly.

Results:

It cleanses my face and neck very well and removes ALL makeup without the need to use any special makeup removers. The skin feels soft and supple, but I think with daily use it may be a bit drying – for me anyway! However, if you have any acne, it will do a good job drying it up and also minimizing pores. I’m a fan.

Overall, I’ve been using this soap for years and recommend anyone to try it out, if you’re looking for something simple and natural for your skin.

About me: I have combination skin that has constant redness, pimples, blackheads.

About product: This mask is recommended for combination to oily skin. It’s meant to softly cleanse the skin, helps calm it and prevent breakouts. Promises to normalize oil production.

Packaging: The mask is contained in a plastic tube that’s a deep green color and has an interesting cap that has a wooden texture. Overall, looks very classy and spa-like.

The consistency is similar to other mud masks – it’s a uniform white paste that reminds me of toothpaste that’s slippery to the touch. The smell is really interesting, not intrusive or strong, smells vaguely grassy.

I’ve used the mask according to instructions – put it on clean skin, leave it on for 10 minutes and wash off with warm water. In the first few minutes, I found that my face stung a little, but then that sensation goes away. The mask dries in 5-7 minutes, becomes matte and washes off really quickly and easily afterward, which is not the case with other mud masks I’ve tried!

Afterward, I found that my pores were instantly clear, but they do not decrease in size, sadly, the texture of the skin improves, the face becomes much smoother, you even get a healthy pink glow. The best thing is that it does all this without tightening or drying the skin.

Overall, I’m definitely a fan! It’s not too expensive either compared to the other masks on the market, so it’s worth a try.
